This is how it works.

You will see that every bucket of connectable clicks comes with a stack of cards. Each card has a picture of the a single alphabet. You child should start by placing the right pieces on the card of the alphabet he is now learning.

After the child builds the letter you can have him feel it, touch it and move it around. The letter is something he created so he can connect to it as an object.

You can then have your child create the letter without the card. At this point your child will usually get excited and will start pointing out the letter to you when he sees it around the house.

Try it and see how teaching a child alphabets can be exciting, fun and simple.

Working with kids struggling to read, I tried every tool in the book. Some worked better than others, but when I started using Alphabuild I could suddenly see that virtual click in the child's brain.

As a kindergarten teacher, I was thrilled when my principal introduced me to the Alphabuild blocks. It's definitely the easiest and most effective way to teach the foundation of reading.

From the desk of Rabbi A. Lampin, noted kriah expert

“Learning to read requires an intrinsic understanding of the letters. The child needs to understand four fundamentals pertaining to each letter: Its structure, size, height, and
the fine placement/orientation of the letter’s structural elements. AlphaBlox, through its
kinesthetic, 3D letter-building play, helps the child gain an understanding of all four. The child can build, touch, hold, and manipulate the actual letter, which turns it into a concrete object they can understand and relate to. By feeling the letter, they get to know it perfectly, which sets them on the path to reading and writing fluency.”

From the desk of Ricki Dembitzer MS, OTR/L

“The combination of instruction cards and letter-building blocks helps the child develop fine motor skills and finger dexterity, as well as enhancing their tactile and kinesthetic senses. By following the card’s directions, using visual motor skills to manipulate the pieces to work together, and using hand- eye coordination to match the shape to the card, the child gains valuable skills through play, which motivates the child to keep going. The instructor can then increase the level of difficulty by removing the card and challenging the child’s visual memory, andincorporate phonetic learning by teachingthe sounds of the letters. Kinesthetic play, like holding the letters and manipulating theshapes needed to create each letter, develops the child’s ability to learn each letter well, preventing reversals, and enhancing theiroverall learning experience.”
